Counter-Strike has been a competitive tradition since 1999. CS2 inherited its passionate global betting market — and 96M carries it all. CS2 Majors, IEM Katowice, BLAST Premier, ESL Pro League — with map winner, round handicap, pistol round and live round-by-round markets on every pro match.
Counter-Strike has the longest and most mature competitive history in esports. CS2 launched in 2023 as the successor to CS:GO, keeping the same 5v5 bomb-defuse format but upgraded with the Source 2 engine. The competitive scene is as sharp as ever — and the betting markets are correspondingly deep.
A CS2 match is best-of-1, best-of-3, or best-of-5 of 13-round maps. Each team plays 12 rounds on one side (T or CT) before switching. First to 13 rounds wins the map. A team must win by 2 rounds after 12–12 — overtime structures also exist.
96M carries the full Tier 1 calendar. CS2 Majors are the crown jewel — twice-yearly events sanctioned by Valve with $1M+ prize pools. Other key circuits include IEM (Intel Extreme Masters) with flagship events in Katowice and Cologne, BLAST Premier (Spring, Fall, World Finals), and the ESL Pro League — plus Tier 2 events like EPL Challenger, DreamHack Masters, and regional qualifiers.
Betting depth on CS2 is unmatched in esports. Every match offers 25+ markets. Map picks, round handicaps, pistol round winners, total rounds, specific team rounds, and live in-play markets that update round by round.

Twice-yearly Valve-sanctioned Championships. The most prestigious events in CS2 — winning a Major cements legendary status for teams and players.
Held in February. One of the most iconic CS venues — the Spodek Arena is packed by 12,000+ fans. Usually season-opening flagship event.
Year-round league format. Spring Groups + Finals, Fall Groups + Finals, and World Finals with top-8 teams competing for the season title.
16-team league run over several weeks. Long-format — gives plenty of betting opportunities on low-volume individual matches.
Europe's premier summer event. Historically considered the "Championship of Champions" outside of the official Majors.
EPL Challenger, DreamHack, regional qualifiers. Frequent matches with less research available — live in-play often has the most edge here.
Pick the series winner. The flagship market. Top-5 world teams are priced 1.20–1.50 against weaker sides.
Bet on individual map outcomes. Team strengths vary by map — some teams dominate Mirage but struggle on Inferno. Map-specific research pays off.
-3.5 / +3.5 rounds on a specific map. Strong Counter-Terrorist (CT) sides often win maps by 6–8 round margins — favourites at -3.5 have value.
First round of each half, where teams play with pistols. Pistol-round wins are significant — they compound into 2–3 bonus rounds thanks to economy.
Total rounds in a map. Line usually 24.5 or 25.5. Close matches go 16-13 = 29 rounds. Stomps at 16-7 = 23 rounds.
CS2's round-based format is ideal for live betting. Odds reset after each round. Quick markets: next round winner, next pistol, race to 6.
Each team has 2–3 strong maps and 1–2 permaban maps. Veto phase decides half the match. Research each team's map pool before placing map winner bets.
CS2 has high player turnover. Lineup changes can turn a top-10 team into a bottom-20 team overnight. Check last 5 matches — not world rank — for current form.
Winning the pistol round usually secures 2–3 extra rounds via the economic cascade. Don't underestimate the importance of pistol round betting.
Some teams perform much better online (home server advantage) or on LAN (crowd energy, adrenaline). Check the event format — online-only, LAN-only, or hybrid.
